Re-Take really isn't super good, it's just that their really isn't anything to compare to it's scale. Also it was released like more than a decade ago I think, so the standards have definitely changed. Other than that Rei and Asuka are pretty unrealistic, at least in like the first part where Rei offs herself, and Asuka and Shinji hookup, in the final part where Asuka leaves for Germany is ok. Re-Take isn't shit, but it's not like a Mona Lisa, I would give it 7/10, which in my book is not failing or passing.
