I remember reading this a while back. I thought an ending like this is something that's real and true. I mean think about it. For the sake of his job was probably an excuse for him to not sully both of their reputations. Even if he went out with her after she graduates, who's to say that people won't point fingers at them doing stuff beforehand? Plus, it could of been insecurity, financial instability, etc. All I know is that with this "One year later" ending, they both put their separate paths and past aside, as she invites him to take a seat anywhere and the teacher gains the actual confidence in coming into that nostalgic shop once again. And it's an open ending. Do they just reminisce about the past and catch up as friends? Or do they continue with their physical relationship? Does it grow into something more? No one knows for sure, but the author. And I think that's what makes a good story in general—One that makes you think about the characters and the world. 10/10 couldn't fap

Gotta love the "In a year, she'll graduate. Then we can start dating." nonsense. It's like: I'm sure the school and the parents of kids who go there will be completely fine with that.

Oh man, WalkerRiley is right. That wasn't a happy ending at all. "I chose my work over love" -> "It's not that I've had a change of heart, I just want to see it to the end". He does care about Hanako, but he made his choice. He agreed to come for udon in order to soften the blow for her, and he's not such a bastard that he'd renege on that. But he's coming to the restaurant with no intention of becoming lovers again.

Not really....he said it himself he didn't change his mind. He's keeping his promise but that's it. They aren't getting back together. It's a bittersweet ending, but nothing beautiful about it. He used her and tossed her aside when it was convenient for him to do so. And by returning like this he's going to get her hopes up only to destroy them once again.

@Space Check out kahasina, kishiri toworu or kapo. Their stuff usually are really diabetic romance with a well written plot, you almost forgot nor care about the H-scenes (although their artwork are excellent as well)

I love finding all of the cute little storys even if I dont fap to them I just really enjoy reading something like this. It is a wonderful break away from the loli/drug/rape/impregnation shit that is everywhere... It is hard to find cute ones like these and I hope that more like this become more and more common! :3
