I appreciate a high quality scan, but there's something interesting and more tactile about photos or scans that show the separated bindings or page edges. It's like the difference between an e-book and a paper book.

its not an illustration from a game, but one of the illustrators (Akiman) was the resident character designer for the Street Fighter series from SFII (iirc) to Street Fighter III. Worked on Alpha and did art for a lot of the titles. Google his name if you dont believe me, he has his own wiki page.
