Honestly, if they do make a sequel, I'd like for the kid to end up becoming as much of a bloodthirsty warrior as this guy, not some 'good guy'. I would say that nothing is wrong with it. Ancient times teached us that strongs get flock by girls. Girls give no shit if you're cute or handsome, if you can't protect yourself or those around you're nothing.
