Here is the origin legendary of Kiyohime - Part 1: Back in the summer of 928, a handsome monk name Anchin arrived to Kumano. The night before the convent at the pagody, he stayed overnight at the lord of this land is house. Kiyohime, the daughter of the lord, madly fall in love with him from the first look has come to Anchin's room to ask for a proposed. Anchin rejected her with the reason "I'm currently on a convent. I will visit you when i return!" and went to Kumano in the next morning. But after the convent, he didn't return to met her. Kiyohime know she had been tricked, quickly chased after him. Even tho she managed to catch up with him, Anchin lied that "You mistake me with someone else" and ran away. Kiyohime angrily turn into a snake (hebi in Japan) and chased after him.

Part 2: Anchin somehow has ran back to Dojo-ji pagody, asking for help from the other master monks. He ran toward the bell (inside the doujinshi) and hide in there. But, the snake which is Kiyohime turn into coil around the bell and start spitting fire. The bell with Kiyohime burn to ash, at the same time take away Anchin's life. Dojo-ji pagody worship their soul (Both Kiyohime and Anchin) and the story being pass on.
