This was such a cute and wholesome read! Silke's aggressive breeding instinct felt completely normal considering that domestic silk moths survive for only 5-10 days (they can't eat/drink after hatching from the pupal stage) and females usually die after laying their eggs. Gensaku breaking free from the silken restraints felt a tad contrived (mostly because adult silk moths lack a working spinneret) since silk fibers have much greater flexibility than steel wire of equal width and they require much greater breaking force than Kevlar fibers. I did feel a brief painful twinge at Gensaku's mention of crafting silk clothing for their future children considering that 2500-3000 silkworm pupae perish in order to harvest 1 pound of silk. That's just the sobering reality of sericulture. T_T
