Though there's no mistaking that she does consider them to die in the act as the side comic vol 4 showcased. It seems that the slime was able to replicate people without even "assimilating" them. She could become them before she fully consumed them, so therefore I'd tell her to copy not kill and replace

I would say, though, that this is one of the best Slime concepts I've ever seen, and the story is about on par with Deep Stalker.

"The slime-chan would do everything for him." I'm not so sure about that. Do not confuse the intentions of a Yandere... especially knowing DATE. At least according to the translation, the creature has hidden the truth from Yuuji with lies by omission. It's true that she fesses up to a lot up to this point, but I don't think we know her true intentions still.

@LICC You're not far off. There is a throw-away scene in chapter 1 where he's being attacked by her (not in the fun way). The only thing that works against this is after assimilation they seem to know they are a part of Slime-chan (Ch 4), but he doesn't have any recollection of being slime-chan.

This series keeps flip flopping from incredible hot to incrediblely weird every chapter it seems... I don’t know if I like it or not.

This reminds me of that choice point in Saya no Uta because the moment he chooses a girl for her to absorb he's effectively choosing this life and abandoning normalcy.

Honestly, just reading this as a story.

I'd choose the girl from page 3. Docile girls usually come with no strings attached and that's I'd like the most. Unless it's a tomboy.
