I don't get why people are misreading the story. In page 5 young boy says her mum is the 3rd wife and the past 2 also died in an accident. This implies that the father is getting remarried and using accident to kill his wife for insurance claims. The boy in the end is saying that he always have to delete the photos of past family members from the computer since they're not in touch anymore and he is tired of it. Thus he is happy to be getting a family of his own with his new "wife". How does deleting photos becoming him killing his mum? It's literally mentioned on the last page that he checked his dad's computer to delete photos. And it's also implies that if his sister continues to be in relationship with his dad, she'll become the 4th mum and she's going to die in an accident soon afterwards, hence he is happy to leave his dad with her and formed a family of him being the dad for the 1st time.

There isn’t zero indication. The kid talks about deleting family members. And the father is grieving the death of his dead wife that he calls the daughter by his wife’s name. He even cries in anguish, “Eriko!! Why you too... Eriko.” I mean there’s a lot of indications. The kid is the only one not sad about the death, only the father and stepdaughter. Or we can assume that the story is being played straight. I don’t think the guy beneath me bothered to actually read the story.

Yeah ending is kinda messed up, it's not really explained why he was killing the wives, seemed like he didn't like his dad starting a new family. Maybe he thought he'd get left out or something. But now that their starting their "own" family it's okey. Also not sure if I understood this part or not but it still seemed like either the dad was raping the step-daughter, or she was letting him sleep with her because he was hurt but it didn't seem liked she wanted it at all with what she said to the boy when they slept together.
