I cannot express how much I love Amputee Mountain. This is the best doujin I've ever read and I don't think I'll ever read anything as beautiful. There's so much this doujin offers that goes beyond even the best of 'normal' manga. With just 29 pages, soooo much is conveyed. It has the soothing atmospheric that invites you into this strange world they inhabit. You can feel the undulating sun casting long shadows on the forest. The thin air that the sisters struggle to force their way through and unconfortable angles reminiscent of dutch angles that convey the discomfort and hastiness the sisters experience by traversing a land they aren't familiar with. The cat who by the end almost cutesy`-ly snuggles up to the leg of the grandma. The juxtaposition between the heinous events and the cute actions of the cat reveal its lack of empathy to the sisters. It isn't evil. It is an animal. We can say the same of the villagers. They're merely following rules.

Alright I know it's fucked up and all of that but... Dude, this is peak horror. This thing reach levels that not even Junji Ito can take on. Brilliant and horrifying. It shouldn't be here, this is as much as porn as chess is a sport.
