Reading this in retrospect made me realize that you don't need the prequel to get the overall story because it doesn't have that much of an effect on her motivation (besides the fact that she got kidnapped, which is already implied here). It pretty much got all the context you need for a standalone and can be enjoyed as such. Onto the actual plot, it's good. It does what mind break plots are supposed to do by having the conflict center around whether she can maintain her composure or not, and in this case, it provides genuine hope for the protagonist to abandon their situation which makes the climax all the more devastating from Uraraka's perspective, and it leaves her even more disadvantaged. There's variety, and the best is saved for last with the good ol' in and out.
