If you're reading this because you didn't understand the doujin, it was basically all Asuka's dream. This explains the whole outfit change, personality swap and eyepatch situation, because assuming it was based off of the rebuild movies, the reason why Asuka changed and Shinji didn't is because he went into eva slumber (or something, idk) while Asuka developed in the years he was gone. So Asuka only remembers the Shinji she lost, therefore she dreamed of him as he was around 14 years ago.
