It might even work as a pseudo-harem story, where the guy has to debate whether he likes the girl or the ghost more; ultimately deciding on the girl, while the ghost reconciles with their situation and decides to pass on to the other side (maybe to join a recently deceased widower they had to part with).

Got bored again, so I learned Japanese to translate that untranslated text in the bottom-right panel on page 2. The resolution didn't help much but I think it says, "魔除けのミサンガもあるし安心," "I also have a charm bracelet that wards off evil spirits for extra safety."
