They believe it to be the holiest thing ever, the same reason why in their shounen anime, the extremely buff MC has a very high voice. It is to make them essentially man-children, like every male character in Dragon Ball that has an extremely buff physique: Goku, Vegeta, Roshi, Tien Shinhan, Krillin, etc. Being a man-child essentially means your innocent, and that makes you pure, and Japan gets a HUGE boner/drenched pussy from that.
