@El Senado most commanders of kansen or battleship grils are shota, either teituku types or shikikan types. nearly half the Doktah type commanders of rhode islands are shota or girly boys. hell even captain of Airships are either pubescent boy or girl. besides based in non cannon lore this is due to majority of regular and veterans got crumblestomed during first contact. leaving special genius kids to play with the most advanced technology or NTR type old men and a fair amount of regulars. this is not the case of shiki-cunts of tactical dolls as per the setting is a mercenary group. **also remind yourself that most Doujin artist needs money as artists in japan is not a highly paying job, so creating a shota is sure to attract a female audience of a bit in the fetish corner, it adds to sales AND YES COMMISSIONS for such is in high demand as someone who have lots of friends in the animation circles...even had a friend who hates to do shota but gets payed $50 USD per page.
