So at the end, Maho gets impregnated by Erika's husband (most probably at the hot springs). Remember back in chapter 2 when she said she doesn't care if she gets pregnant? She keeps this a secret to both of them to avoid them from feeling guilty and staying behind. She wants the couple to be independent because she cares about both of them, but she desperately wanted to have something to be reminded of the man she fell for HARD, so she beared his child and jeopardised her own position as the commander in the process, a final sacrifice for the sake of her love. In one hand, Erika and her husband got the happiest ending, while Maho chose to get left behind in a bittersweet note. In short, the author's got great taste in cars, 10/10 would take my Porsche 911 out in Forza Horizon 4 yet again cause I'm too broke to afford one irl.
