Kokichi lies to Saihara and Kaede by convincing them that the last two people who fucked get to graduate together, when really it's whoever fucked first. So Kokichi was screwing with their heads. Kaede tries to have sex again with Saihara at the last minute so they can graduate together, then Kokichi intervenes and gets Kaede turned on with some kind of drug to make it seem like she was more into it than she was. Saihara and Kaede then learn that they were going to graduate together all along. It seems like Kokichi enjoyed straining their relationship by making Kaede feel guilty and by making Saihara feel betrayed. Also he seems to like Kaede in this version, for some reason.
