With how you interpreted it, it felt like the story made so much sense in regards to the reaction of the siblings, but the biggest impact is how you analyzed it in a way that it also feels like it could be applied in real life especially for people going through things. I personally recently found out I had depression and am currently going through it and the way you analyzed the story and how much it made sense really moved me. I wish I could have a deeper conversation about this and some other thoughts, but all I can do is say thank you and I really appreciate your hopeful words.

I keep being lost when i read this, i feel sad, smh, mostly i am not crying for these H, even with strong NTR, but this make me both lost and cured at the same time, soothe my soul and i just cry, 10/10 for the plot

That desire/goal potentially ended up being such a relationship with her brother (or something more general that her relationship with her brother managed to fulfill) and she lacked alternative desires that would give her fulfillment. Without any desire or goal that is possible to work towards, its hard for someone to keep moving forward in life, even with the help of things like personal smarts/competency, a stable family situation, therapy, etc. When the situation changed and the wall preventing her seemingly unattainable goal was breached, she now had a path forward and could move on to building a stable life with the person most important to her. She wasn't necessarily "fixed" or "changed" despite her improvement; her circumstance may have simply changed from having no attainable goals (so no passion towards life) to her main desire being fulfillable and within reach. I hope everyone in a similar mental state will find their way forward eventually.

IDK if my interpretation is necessarily the "correct" one (if there is a "correct" one), but I feel like this story has a weird similarity to my kind of depression: She initially is successful, good grades in school,etc. and then eventually falls into depression with no apparent explanation (though the mother thinks it may have been because too many expectations were put on her). The kid initially acts like a bit of a dumbass (the whole "sex slave" thing feels like it has to either be a mistranslation or a poor joke) but she responds very positively to his attention and his behavior puts them on a course for a relationship and potentially marriage: her mental improvement directly coincides with the solidification of the relationship and approval for the relationship from her parents behind the scenes. With all of this in mind, I feel like the source of her depression stemmed from having a desire/goal that was (seemingly) unattainable and her inability to reconcile with that.
