There is clearly sexual tension in the anime. The entire show is built on the cliff hanger of them eventually kissing and fucking. It's Gal Gohan all over again, which took 66 of 68 episodes for the MC to confess his feelings. So if you tune in week to week to see them kiss, I'd leave the anime now. Also, I'm caught up on the manga as well, and I'm absolutely correct in my assertions. 30 episodes ahead and nothing's happened. The writer/artist has EXTREMELY conservative values despite the ecchiness, and I wouldn't be shocked if they kiss 2 years into him making elaborate dresses for her.
