Maybe it's just me but I don't see any problems with the mouth. Ok they may not be as overly emphasized by a lot of other artists but they are there. After all, most of the emotional features, in the artistic sense, are centered around the eyes and then the mouth.

The only thing i don't like about his art is the mouth. There's no emotion on the mouth but everything else is perfect
