I don't say this often... but what the fuck just happened? HOW DO YOU DRUG A ROBOT AND WHY DOES THE ROBOT BLEED AND HAVE TEARS pain can be simulated, and not that I agree with Jim Barn1 or anything but perception could absolutely change things (though nowhere near that quickly) and blood loss is something the brain recognizes almost universally as bad

I'm surprised it has more favourites than the original translation. Thank you for your comments (even if they're more surprises than comments)! It was too good to just gloss over so I had to re-typeset it

And, on a more straightforward approach, how on earth would there be room? The inside of a robot is jam packed with hard metal and things of the like. The outside may be covered in a squishy material similar to skin, but the inside would certainly not be as squishy. And what’s the purpose of blood? To be realistic? Why on earth is there so much? I think this is not a robot, I think it’s a human with robotic implants making it both very difficult to impossible to kill, and giving control over its state of mind.

Good point. With this in mind, can we define pain as real because it is a bodily reaction therefore we can justify it being a real thing? Since it causes actual physical reaction, it can be considered real? So if pain is real, in this sense at least, then yes, we could copy this onto a robot. However, I’m not quite convinced yet that this is indeed a robot. Think about this, how could you possibly simulate “emotions”? considering emotions are processed differently with every person, how is there an exact feeling you could replicate? An emotion is a state of mind, that we enter to match a situation and respond accordingly. But the tricky part is how could we possibly know what this state of mind is in order to replicate it properly. It would be impossible, human emotion is something only felt by humans. No other animal has emotions even close to as advanced.

Pain is how our brain tell us that something is wrong, it is a bad feeling because many people would ignore these and potentially die. It is not a concept that we created in our mind, it's just an actual physical response our body has and we just named it. It's not impossible for us to simply copy that into a robot.

Is it only what a community says? Does majority decide what can be considered real and what’s not? But what about things like the Mandela effect? It’s clear majority does not always mean correct. In conclusion, no, pain is not real. It is only within your mind. And reality itself is a man made concept because our brain can alter every part of how we perceive the world. There is no definite answer what is or is not real. In conclusion, based on similar man made decisions, pain is not real. Therefore the girl cannot be a robot through and through, which is also why she would bleed, and why she would have room in there for him to stick his penis in.

But can we really define what is “real”? For if you say pain is real despite it being something within my mind, could I also say that ideas or thoughts are “real”? I can’t touch or see pain or an idea, I only feel it. But a schizophrenic can feel or see things that the rest of us say “isn’t real”. So if that “isn’t real” because it’s “only in their head”, how is the pain anyone else feels any more “real”?

Bruh pain is real. You learn shit like “pain receptors” in science class when you’re 15. Go out bro and don’t skip classes

If we define infinite sets as only in our heads, and therefore not real, could we also say that pain is not real as it is also only in our heads? Furthermore, what is perceived as “painful” is also only a human made concept. With this in mind, we can conclude that pain is not real. Furthermore, emotions are also only in our head. Therefore, we can say emotions are not real either. We cannot experience life as an animal to prove that they truly feel “emotion” or “pain” as we do. We can perceive what we believe to be emotion or pain, but we are very limited as to what we can observe. Therefore, pain nor emotions are “real” in a sense. In conclusion, when the robot girl says “it hurts” and that she “has emotions”, this can either clearly dissprove that she is a robot or prove she certainly is one. This is because if “pain” and “emotions” aren’t real and are merely within your head, it would be impossible to simulate it within her if she was a robot. Because pain and emotions don’t exist.
