My main issue with this story is that she sees "cheating" as the ladylike thing to have done and that her "masculine violent" urges rose up to defend her rather than her realising she did the right thing. The husband consoles her so maybe this is a critique of social expectations (financial security above everything) but her even considering it kinda ruins the wholesomeness. Read properly next time.
