That's literally everything that happened within the first half of the story. Just a few panels later, he starts guilting her into NEVER hanging out with her friends and she just accepts that for literally no reason. The whole thing is fucked. I don't give a shit about whatever sob story he has about having an abusive girlfriend in the past. The only reason why anyone would look at this and say "aww how cute!" is because the girl, for literally no reason, just magically got over EVERY RED FLAG he threw at her and the story ended with a fake "and then they lived happily ever after :)" panel.
