Take away the hentai NTR plot armor and this would have just ended with Shadow comedically nuking everything that much sooner since Nelson wasn't in his way to slow him down. Merkonig really missed the perfect opportunity to end this with Nelson being reduced to dust mid sentence on that last page. Not that Merkonig would ever do it. Spoilers for next season, but Delta probably wouldn't even be vaporized along with him. Shadow is able to choose who gets disintegrated, or at least that's what volume 3 made it seem like. I can picture he has a way to avoid nuking his friends, even if that sounds stupid. Eminence is that type of series.
