So Mc went to abusive parents while the Mc's mom got another child. The Mc's mom also went through a similar abusive experience and couldn't believe that it also happened to her own son. The women from the dream saved Mc's mom from her abusive parents and the Mc's mom grew up to do the similar work the women who saved her did, hence inheriting her name "Elinor" the women in the ending scene, I'm not sure who she is, since it mentions an incident 20 years earlier. Although, the women at the end doesn't look in comparison to the Mcs mom or the women who saved the Mcs mom from the past. So it could be a whole different situation of similar nature but with different characters.

I didn't understand the plot twist. The mother how had sex with MC is not the same woman from the last page (different face dots) and the woman from the dream flashback is also not the same person from the last page. Is MC really the son of that woman? I don't think so, why would she let her son pass through the same childhood trauma as him?
