That corruption thingy here isn't even accurate in the game, lol. In the game there's beings called 'shadows' which exists by mimicking the person behind it and can only parrot their the person's last sentences they've spoken. In here she 'turns' into a shadow, basically. But a shadow can already form when they see a person to mimick and cannot corrupt the living person like shown here.

That shade of grey she turns in the end makes her kinda look like a corpse, but its supposed to be a corruption thing. I wonder if it has any basis in the source material which I don't know at all.
