Why do people even make shit like this.

That ending is poorly written. The younger girl is the class representative so we know she attends the school, they just reunited, she says this is happening after she graduates. That gives three entire years for them to make a plan. The teacher should be familiar with the younger girl's familial circumstances given they were close prior to her leaving for college. Like, there's time and room for a solution here, but the author cops out and tries to spin it as tragic. It just, doesn't really make any sense.

Is this author not capable of giving people a happy ending? For fucks sake, every thing they make is really good, but the endings are either twisted as shit or just plain sad as fuck.
