It seems that she is just... a sexual person? She responded to the person she liked consoling her by initiating a sexual act and was described as being not good at anything and she was never given any responsibilities by her family, so perhaps she is just continuing to be a sexual person, who lives without any responsibilities? Is she rebelling against her family also? Maybe. Was the situation with Del traumatizing? Probably. Does she feel like her father's decision can't be changed? It's possible. It's never really discussed. The primary reason why she initially seems to be having sex with so many people is because her partners all seem to be incompatible with her.

I think you two are missing the point on why she's a slut. Clearly it's an act of rebellion induced by truama and neglect. Her father ignored her in childhood, and the only person she truly liked, she inadvertently jailed him for life. That would mess anyone up. I can only assume the reason she never tried to get him freed is because the kings word is law, so she probably felt it would be useless to try and plead for it.

If you're going to summarize the story, do it correctly. She clearly did not want Del to get locked up or expect him to get put in jail, and her plea to her father saves him from being executed. Obviously, she didn't completely forget about him if she picked up a similar looking child and brought him home. The only flaw in the story is that she doesn't seem to be trying to free him from jail which is pretty stupid.
