I think the ending is pretty neat. Claire was always a demon, it's in her nature to pray on humans whatever she likes it or not. And her feelings for Mutsumi only pushed that side of her to want to take that which she wants even more. It's a very tragic ending for both them, I'd argue even more for Claire since she can feel her human side falling apart and she's very aware that what she's doing is horrible but she can't help herself, as it's a irrepressible instinct of a demon.

First half is actually good story but the rest is just "Surprise, I'm evil now. Lets fuck so you can die". There's no logical reason you would die from that in and RPG themed story. I get it, its artist liberty and all that but this ending was just bad. First half was so well written and suddenly a huge disconnect like there would be two different minds working on the story.
