Basically, it seems like, the girl, at least back then, was scared of being in a relationship with the boy, even though she liked him. She brought him to a love hotel, and she initially suggests physical intimacy, not him, then when he confesses again, they start being physically intimate, and she initially says it's embarrassing, then when the boy pushes her down, notice that she looks really intimidated and nervous, then leans into being cheeky to hide her nervousness, then afterwards, when the boy mentions how growing up makes it harder to do certain things and easier to do others, she reenacts the confession scene, and he confesses again, and after they start being physically intimate again, and, notice the boy asking whether they could have been physically intimate if she accepted his confession in the past at school, and the girl saying she would have liked it. Basically, after growing up, she's become mature enough to be in a relationship, and he can finally get the girl.

I would like to know more about the story, why did she reject him? and why now she has no problem with him? and I hope that the answer is something besides she banging every dude posible during 7 years and now just trying to get stability.

Usually Spiritus Tarou's stories are good but this one felt a bit off, the lack of context really makes the ending feel bittersweet

Here's a different interpretation of how things might have happened in the past: in page 17, the girl said "if we'd gone just a little further, could we have done this at school for real?" this wouldn't make sense if, like you guys said, she rejected him and he got traumatized. It's more likely that she actually accepted, but the guy chickened out in the end and ran. There's also some kind of tradition/culture in Japan where school boys would confess to girls on graduation, since if they're rejected then they wouldn't have to see that girl anymore. Combine these two things, and it's perfectly reasonable for the mc to not have any sort of contact with the girl after confessing. Then during the 8 years period, the girl gained confidence and, seeing that he still like her, she decided to tease him about that.

I like how a bunch of us came to the same conclusion. She is using him and he needed to move on.
