I found the final chapter quite disappointing. The title clearly suggested a NTR story, yet the ending failed to deliver the emotional impact. The story left things ambiguous, with Mitsuha having a child with Hamaguchi but not committing to either him or Taki. A true NTR plot thrives on emotional fallout, character change, and finality none of which were clearly addressed. If you’re going to write a final chapter specially in a story built on emotional betrayal and shifting relationships it needs to be strong, conclusive, and satisfying. This one felt rushed and unfocused, like the author backed out of committing to the genre they promised. Hamaguchi and Mitsuha’s relationship could have been explored in more depth, especially if the story was heading toward a full "netore to pure love" transformation. Instead, the ending left both Taki and the readers in limbo, with no real emotional resolution. As someone who expected a strong NTR ending, this final chapter was a letdown. Rate 5/10.

It’s NTR from the viewers perspective, but it’s really rape, mind break to a certain degree, and NTR in the sense that the dude is fucking her spitefully because mc dude exists, but not in the sense that she’s cheating on him, or wants to have sex with the guy (friendly reminder that enjoyment and/or pleasure does not equal desire, that’s commonly used to victim blame people, but feeling good is a physiological response, wanting or liking sex is a psychological response). Anyway, ts is not getting an ending so I’m just gonna assume MC beat him up and sent him to jail.

I've been thinking about this for a while - can we really call this story NTR? I don't know the premise of the original movie, but, from what I gather, due to supernatural reasons, the Mitsuha and Taki don't know one another. They have a vague sense, but, that's about it. I'm not sure how this could be considered NTR, since these two were never actually dating...But, maybe I am missing some nuance with when it comes to NTR...

nah, translator has shitty tastes. If you want an ntr story with the usual bad endings, literally 99% of them are like that. We need shit where there's payback to spice things up.
