Hes getting fucked in the head and propositions fella from school and realizes hes too far gone. his lack of strength or willpower is also a character flaw it would be fulfilling to see some kind of arc for. older brother failing in life has been cut from the team drunk every day. tag teams him with the new bf . Younger brother suicides or something. Idk just a thought

What I hate about this is that the abuser ended up getting what he wanted. And the abused ended up getting trapped into this relationship.

'The Face of My Brother that Only I Know' is a dark, angst-filled delight. Being incestuous only furthers the depravity of the story. Well written, beautiful art, and extremely indulgent in its themes. I want to hate this work, and I should hate it, but it manages to stroke that abhorrent corner of the mind which lives for this twisted, evil corruption of "romance". The type that only seems "just" in the eyes of the abuser. Tenmei is a loathsomely sexy villain, but my heart still goes out to Keito. A little glimmer whose luminescence fades with each passing day. They were perfect.

This is why manga will always be better than any self righteous, virtue signaling American comics. Even with this being yoai, more emotion, more pathos, more heartbreak than the typical ham fisted American tale. Despite them being same gender, this story gives a good view on family abuse and emotional manipulation. The elder brother is totally evil, using abuse when he can, faking (and that is all it is...totally fake) affection to keep this little brother bonded to him. There is nothing romantic or cool here. This is inexcusable abuse and cruelty. No virtue signaling about patriarchy or trying to make excuses for the elder brother's behavior. Well played, mangaka.
