At the end of #543437, the main girl Nanami quits, gets married to the farmer she was treating, and sends vegetables as a gift to Ishiyama (the nurse who tried to treat Suzuki in this story and treats the farmer in the second story). Ishiyama then says Nanami's case follows the same pattern as Ayumi: nurses getting married to their patients. Nothing ever explicitly says Ayumi quit before the marriage, but that's the implication since the nurses get a happy ending with their man. Besides Ishiyama. Being Ishiyama is suffering.
