I come into this thinking what is "wuthering waves" and the lore discussion just leaves me baffled, I'm just gonna find something else lol

@Local Drug Dealer: You have a good point...were it not for the fact that Rover made a point of explicitly telling Phrolova about how important keeping promises are to him. Unless the scenario was "the entire world will be destroyed unless you wipe your memories in the next five minutes", why couldn't he give Phrolova some word about not being able to meet her again so that she wouldn't spend the next 1-500 years waiting for him to show up to her concerts? It essentially boils down to the classic "good of the many at the cost of the one" argument, but when the character makes and underscores a sincere promise, well, the audience can't be blamed for resenting the protagonist a bit when they fail to live up to their own standards. For me, while it made me dislike what Rover did to Phrolova, I did very much like that his choice and failure to follow through showed him to be just as flawed a human as most of us. Perfect characters with no flaws are boring as hell.

@Pentagram Industries You don't know what Rover was going through before he wiped his memories. The Tittle of a"Lord", an "Arbiter", carrying the whole responsibility of Humanity on his back for the sake of the world itself. He's trying his best to save everyone, that included her.

Phrolova just wanted to retain the memories she'd lost....

First time I disliked Rover for what he did. Was his encounter with Phrolova that insignificant that it warranted having his memories erased? Not even Shorekeeper recieved such treatment. Phrolova deserved better.
