I mean, it did an *alright* job. But the only people at risk of losing work to this are the shitty colorers. The palette is boring and incoherent; overall, the comic feels lifeless and mass-produced. Hand-coloring is much better in my opinion

I mean, it CAN color... just not very well. And it fucks up other parts of the image inadvertently. The issues with AI seem to be the same as ever. Even if it's getting better, the problem is still that the data it's algorithmically culling doesn't do a good job of preserving the concept of what's being aimed for. So long as this is the case, an artist will still have to correct it. In which case why wouldn't you just get an artist to do the thing from the beginning? I'm not strictly against AI, it just seems like it's still not a good enough replacement for human hands, and the more improvement I see, the more it seems like the issue is deeper than what simple iteration with solve. Humans don't do art by performing math, generally speaking. The program still hasn't replicated that.

The AI did more than just coloring, there's an entire third nipple in a panel, the words are thinner and harder to read, and the pages are cutoff for some reason. The AI unironically made the quality worse. Anyone know where I can find the original?

I dont hate the AI coloring, but I would have wanted a doujin with better art getting the coloring treatment.

Can you guys chill out lol it’s just a current showcase of colorization AI. You guys are flipping out but how many of YOU are willing to either: 1. Color it yourself or 2. Hire someone to do it? In the first place I personally don’t even like colored doujins but I think using AI to atleast help out wouldn’t be too bad, it’s obviously imperfect by itself (for now) but as a tool to help out artists get shit done faster? It seems amazing.

Is this a good colorization? Not really. Is it better than most fan colorizations on this site? Yeah. Would I read more if it? Not at the moment.
