Hate the whole "personality merge" thing so many of these do. Do something more interesting like get knocked up and push her old personality into the baby. End it with the kid knowing their "mom" is only raising them to one day do this all over again.

For me, the appeal of skinsuit and possession doujin lies in seeing a familiar character being controlled or overtaken by some force, causing their personality and behavior to shift completely to the opposite extreme. What makes it interesting is the conflict between the character’s original self and the new identity they are forced to express. That said, in this particular story, I can’t help but feel really sorry for this elf. Still, the overall elements of the story are solid, and I hope the author will expand on the narrative in the next chapter.
