Semi because it is non monogamous only among the three of them. Not sure if author is intentionally ignoring this option or if author thinks such relationship dynamic is the transgression itself. To me, they are a perfect trio where an non-monogamous arrangement would work out well.

Last scene: Megu (one returning to US) - wearing brown coat, dark nails, actively near her luggage alone. Ruri (futanari one) - wearing white down jacket, standing to the left of Hime. Hime (staying behind with Ruri) - wearing brown coat, pink nails, standing to the right of Ruri. Hime notices the guy dropping luggage and he is wearing an engagement ring, which causes Hime to notice Ruri's ring explicitly. Hence, it is Hime (right) reaching out to Ruri (left) and Ruri is wearing a promise ring - ring with Megu, and Hime fully aware of the ring's presence and meaning, yet she decides to reach out to Ruri. The ball is decimated at the end, probably because the relationship among the three are no longer the same as at the beginning of the story, decimated - Hime is now a much more active part of it and is inbetween Megu and Hime.

The nail color looks like Hime's since Megu's nails are way darker, but in some panels Megu's have that same color depending on lighting... The hand is also posed so it's kinda hard to be sure if they're wearing a ring, too. I like littleskatebarndoor's interpretation 'cause I want Hime to have a chance so I'm just gonna roll with that, i think... anyway gahh this doujin has me actually thinking on this site what the hell??? My interpretation of the end is that megu as that ideal perfect but unattainable girl. She is always the most interesting option, always choosen first but she has becomes so rare, so in that absence, ruri gets tired of yearning. Like even if Megu says that she wants to give ruri all that she desires, her texts with hime and her behavior sounds more like she loves being chased and being chosen without herself giving as much. I think she also kinda like shoving it in hime's face but as we saw it when Megu said they didnt fuck before the threesome, Ruri isn't as receptive, making me think that it's because Hime was able to fufill her baseline need. The spice of Megu doesn't seem as irresistible, the heartbreak of separation slowly makes it not so worth it and the chase is getting old. Plus the idea that ruri probably has been imagining an unreal and perfect version of megu, that does hold up to reality. While you have Hime, who is always there, for half a year.

So what I get from the ending Ruri is conflicted about who she really likes. She reaches her hand out to Megu at the airport but she's too occupied with her travel pillow to notice her. Ruri in that moment realizes that she's choosing between Megu who is going to be leaving again for who knows how long and Hime whos been there for her the last half a year every moment she needed it. The final panels are the culmination of that choice so when Megu finally reaches her hand out to Ruri shes met with no response as Ruri's mind was finally made up. But thats just the view of a guy who never was and probably never will be touched by a woman. So I cant really speak about their psyche. Also haven't watched love live so could be entirely wrong.

Was that supposed to be a methapor for Hime's heartbreak?

this was as good as it was sad and i loved all of it!!! a lil confused on the end tho, did ruri not have her ring on signifying that she chose the other girl or did the “toy” (forget her name) see her wearing the ring still after their intimate night and feel a type of way? either way i really hope there are more chapters after this lil comp cause this artist is good at writing and drawing and i can’t get enough!! this and story of futaba gotta be the two top tier futa doujins out there!!
