I never followed csm that closely, I only binged it when I heard shit was going down in the latest chapters. But to think someone would go out of the way to recreate an entire chapter because of how shit the original was really speaks to the downgrade csm has gone through. I'm 99% sure it's just cuz Fujimoto was tired and burnt out af, but still, I wish he had pushed through a little bit more (or even gone on a hiatus) as opposed to giving up entirely. A decent ending won't be remembered for long, but a dogshit ending will never be forgotten. I hope this doesn't haunt him following any future works but it probably will.

I don't know if this is better than the original... Actually no I do think this is better than the original but only if Fujimoto decided to continue the story. If it ended like this and without part 3 I would be a bit dissappointed

I won't say this is definitively better, but it is very well done and gives an ending that a lot of readers wanted. It's satisfying.

To be honest here but the ending we got was probably the best we could’ve gotten from Mount Fuji. Part 2 was lowkey ass compared to part 1 so I was expecting an ass ending anyways. Just glad we got a universe where asa and denji have a “good” ending here so I’ll just accept both endings as cannon and move on
