I understand people disliking the NTR, mitsuha and Taki not getting togethere in the end. But after reading the whole story, Understand that by the end Mitsuha was completely corrupted by the Other dude and there was no going back, she was conditioned, used and manipulated up to the point where TAKI could not reverse her psychological conditioning. Mitsuha went back to the other dude because she understood that she was corrupted, lost her innocence and her purity (which she mentions to Taki in ch 9). She knew that only the other dude would be ready to accept her and build a future with her. She realized that her going to TAKI after all that she's been through would be unfair to TAKI now that she is not the same Mitsuha that he once knew.
