She's forced to do this sex work as there's no point in a woman studying as there would be no work. And if she stops doing it, then her brother will no longer be able to continue school. She accepts this logically but still can't help cry on how unfair it is. At the end, the author says that not every place necessarily has some evil pimp forcing the girl to do work. Sometimes, due to economical and societal structure, they are forced to do sex work as well. I must say, Numata is one of the only artists I know that does these realistic depictions. Makes it more fucked up in a sense.
