For how i see that scene, as soon as the girl sees him, she instantly recognized him and stood up to reach him, but then she sees his new girlfriend and starts to understand the situation, she probably still regret to have left him because she couldn't be with him before, but she sees him and in particular sees the new girl who's happy to be with him and proceeds to sit down again, and end just being happy for him.

Now that I see this edition with all this doujins together i'm really convinced that is is Fujimoto's alt account where he draws porn or someone who works with him (btw this author is called @cleanandme, you can even find him on twitter). The way these stories are narrated really feel similar to how Fujimoto writes stories (both manga and oneshots). Furthemore look at the cover of this doujin and the way the word "Poison Assort" (which is written in English) is placed, this is basically the same way the cover of Chainsaw Man are created.
