It has to be AI. Their style took an enourmous jump from very bad, to suddenly being able to "replicate" any art style from any anime. They used to just copy & paste faces and hair of any character, slap it on a very poorly drawn body, and called it a day. Disappears for like a month or two, now they can suddenly draw proportions and make comic pages within days?? I don't buy it.
