Doing so meant that her and Godfrey's latter children, Morgott and Mohg(the babies with the horns) had to be forsakened and left in the sewers. Lamenting her divinity and how it, indirectly lead to the death of Godwyn(who was a symbol of the Golden Order), her and Godfrey's firstborn, she shattered the Elden Ring, resulting in a war in which her children fought each other. In a somewhat cruel irony, her attempt to free herself from her divine prison and break the Greater Will's grasp, it resulted in the death of all her children at the hands of the Tarnished(player). At least, that's the narrative I think this book is aiming for.
