that isn't autism, @darklight9989 - that's just a dude who has negative amounts of self worth and self esteem, and has gaslit himself into believing that Koharu will stay in his life if he does whatever she asks, no matter how much he (or anyone else) gets hurt in the process. Readers rag on him because he cares so much about what others think that he fucks himself over at every turn on the CHANCE it makes him not-hated by others, but he's about to hurt Ayame a whole lot because he wants to be noticed and validated by Koharu so much that he'll treat Ayame like "a tool", to use Koharu's words, for sexual release just so Koharu will watch him do it. So really, MC PRETENDS that he cares what others think, but he's now simply taking advantage of Ayame, and who knows however many others in the future, just to satisfy his selfish wish to have Koharu look his way. He's definitely pitiable, but he's not really sympathetic at this point, because he's aware of everything he's doing.
