The Dicker Max does not appreciate this work being on popular. Drawing may be hard, time consuming, and stressful, not that a Panzerjäger like I would know. But for thousands of people's works to be scraped off of the web for a service that is then used for assistance, whole or otherwise, seems unfair for those who some people in this discourse would deem "obsolete" for not adapting to AI service. The same people who have the will to put thought to perspectives, shapes, and are inspired to make work we pleasure ourselves to. While yes, AI does require prompts and review, I cannot say that is comparable to people who physically draw them. It is akin to a supervisor watching my manufacturing process, work done by 1000s of workers who put their blood, toil, and sweat into my rivets and welds.

From what the looks of it. It is an Ai. But again, I don’t really care. Hey, it’s it like I am not an Artist myself. I know for a fact that Ai beats me but do I give a shit? No. Because even if I am an Artist, I took my art as a hobby than an actual Job. Sure, Ai Art will replace a lot of Artists. But this shit is the same debate as Traditional Art vs Digital Art. “Oh but Ai Artists didn’t pick up the pen or pencil” well, Ai can’t draw themselves. Ai still needs to have words and commands to make it work consistently. The more word you fill in the better Ai Art quality it will be. So what’s the difference? Ai Art just replace cheap stuff. If you can point out what actual mangaka storyboards in clip studio by all means go for it. Looking at 138999693 on their pixiv, it at least goes past AI image detectors (while imperfect), doesn't have the issues of nonsensical architecture, texture swirling, lack of object permanence, etc. And what just seems like regular 3d use for the snowflakes in the background.

Gonna give the artist the benefit of the doubt here. Checked their twitter, they have storyboards. While they can be faked (and they're extremely blurry there), there's a lot of storyboards. This might not be AI. Artist just has really good rendering.

One can additionally go check their twitter where they've posted sketches as well as their clip studio paint layer stack where they've used clipping masks and layer masks which is standard. As well what seems like the comic frame layer which is what you'd typically use for manga.

Not sure why people are saying AI. For example on panel 35 and 52, the details of the kitchen light remain consistent where image gen models would fuck this up. 2nd, if you want to delve into the forensics, image generators end with a with a step (variational auto encoders) that will often inject color information into what should have been a B and W image. Bumping up saturation in any image editor, you'll see splotches of color in what should be uniformly white spaces in AI generated images. The look of these color artifacts also do not look like jpeg artifacting which occurs 8x8 or 16x16 region, and you should see no color artifacting on pure #FFFFFF. i.e. DTC will simplify 8x8 regions, but pure white already has a freq of zero so the Y channel loses no information and the Cb/Cr channels are already uniform so no color artifacting there. You can go run this yourself on AI generated art, vs these panels. It's not a perfect smoking gun, but better than vibes based witch hunting
