Yeah. Probably because the author wanted to be done with it. It was originally planned to have 6 chapters, and with a few different endings considered. So reading the chapters 1-4 + a special offscene, basically just generic blackmail NTR plot but with a very subtle twist in the end. Also chapter 1 was purely vanilla, but then switched to blackmail in chapter 2, presumably according to people, because the first one didn't sell well... and even less for the proceeding chapters. And the ending was teased in the very first pages of an officer's recant of an incident 5 years ago. Though both Sumika and Rihito are probably still alive since the doujin didn't really say explicitly and just said heavily injured, but maybe they really are? It's just all speculation at this point. Though I really wish the author at least showed what really happened instead of just narrating it. You're telling me that cuckolding a guy into oblivion is okay, but the crime scene that proceeded after is too much?
