This epilogue is such a butthurt to my emotions... The cheater got a happy ending , thats it. She even used the rapist boyfriend money to pay the alimony, lmao.. ex husband have a scar for life with complete loneliness and the cheaters?? Well she's happy

Although the cheater said that she's meeting the rapist as an act of repentance, she still got a happy ending since the rapist seemed like a decent man and the ex, no clue but I guess he ended up alone and miserable with a deep scar for the rest of his life.... Cheater won and cuck loose.. typical ntr story

Man I was so confused while reading this chapter. Guess the author successfully pulled a plot twist. But I'm not sure if I liked it

So basically she used the rapist to pay for the alimony asap, maybe as some form of punishment. The details such as the markings on the calendar and the lone toothbrush in her house, suggests that she cut him off after he gave the money for the final alimony. And the fact that she keeps the broken cup throughout all this coupled with the epilogue, shows that she still very much loves her husband, but wants him to have a fresh start instead of hanging onto her. ----------–---------------------------------------------------The issue with this is who wanted to see the rapist sob story or she enjoying the sex in the process? But then again, maybe it's another layer of punishment by giving the rapist the hope of having a happy future with her (he fell for her, blushing and all) just for her to shut him off after handing over the money.----------–---------------------------------------------------Ultimately one can interpret this differently, but I think the above is the most plausible.

i don't understand the ending. did she go back to her ex-husband? did ex-husband take her back? did the rapist finally leave her alone? what was the point of the calendar, paying alimony?

I love NTR mangas but this spin off left a poor taste to an already good NTR story. It humanizes the rapist which cheapens the act of Akiko repenting. So in the end, we learnt that she didn’t learn from her mistakes. Adding to that, the last sex scene are just too short and not enticing at all compared to the ones before. Way to kill the mood.

@Percival_545 Yes, I was wrong about that part. She used Suzuki's money to give to her ex-husband. As for her relationship with Suzuki, it was initially rape, but she gave in to that situation, she gave consent. She felt so much pleasure that it made her want to find a third person. She knew the risks. And even after everything, she accepted Suzuki's apology and got involved with him. She discovered that he's not a bad guy... at that moment, he only saw a dirty woman who was cheating on her husband and remembered his own wife, who cheated on him too. The guy was very hurt and ended up making a mistake. As I said, it was a good ending, people who make mistakes also move on with their lives.

@numb88 Bro, you need to read it again. This chapter takes place before the epilogue of chapter 3. Akiko calls Naoki at the end of this chapter to finish paying the alimony with the same money Suzuki gave her in this chapter. And if you're okay with her starting a relationship with her rapist, you're really out of your mind.

I don't understand why people were so disappointed. Should people who cheated or made mistakes suffer forever? In the last scene, it wasn't a call to Naoki, it was to Suzuki! He explained to Akiko that he had disappeared for a month because he was very busy at work... That's why she apologizes when she invites him to her house, because she thought he might be busy again. It doesn't make sense that you thought the call was to Naoki, their relationship is over! Akiko hurt Naoki a lot and it wouldn't be fair to get back together with him, that's why she deleted his number in chapter 3. Besides, Suzuki is much more compatible with her and the author developed their romance with honesty, dialogue and sex, in other words, EVERYTHING that Akiko didn't have with her ex-husband. I also found it interesting that the author illustrated Akiko's new relationship along with the flowers. The flowers look prettier when she is with Suzuki.

She said sorry for being self-centred until the end but she is still self-centred even after the end. Just like how she said she love him but she did exactly the opposite of lover to her husband...Ex-husband. She didn't feel sorry at all. She even get together with her rapist and possibly moving in with him. The husband got cucked and she left him and end up with someone who cucked him. That is no different than most NTR story. Someone like lucient who tries to paint this as if this is a good ending is either: 1) A cuck and wish to be cucked like this. 2) a cheater as well. The husband literally didn't get compensation, I am not talking about monetary compensation, but rather emotional/sexual/romantical compensation. If she is truly sorry she would try to compensate him that way. Did she move in with her rapist in the end? Besides if she is with her rapist now why can't she cheat on him with her Ex-Husband, she already cheat on her Ex-Husband after all.

@Senpai-San75 Judging by the calendar, last time Suzuki was with her was in August. For the next three months there was no contact. The dialog on the last page was the first thing she said to her ex-husband when met at the end of chapter 3. Also, I don't think the story romanticizes rape or whitewashes Suzuki. It does nothing but showing us how they acted towards each other. And we already know that both of them are everything but normal, healthy individuals.
Senpai-San75
Senpai-San75
@toticollector don’t want to jump to conclusions, but since it’s the end of the month, we don’t really know anything about the next one. She’s not necessarily moving in with Suzuki just because we see a toothbrush, but there’s someone speaking on the last page, so who knows… (I’m not saying they’re moving in together, but they could be friends with benefits—with your rapist… because he admitted his sad flashback… logic and NTR…) Otherwise, I agree with what you and the others said. Even if it’s phrased differently, we all pretty much share the same points. I disagree a bit more with Lucient because this chapter romanticizes rape too much. The attempt to whitewash Suzuki wasn’t necessary either. Whether Akiko intended to go further or not, that didn’t give Suzuki the right to ‘punish’ her. But well… I’ll just stick with the ending of chapter 3, which wraps up the story nicely without ruining anything just for a bit more money and extra scenes

@Senpai-San75, i doubt it. Suzuki's visits were marked in the calendar. But after he gave her the envelope, there were no more visits.
Senpai-San75

In short, this epilogue was completely unnecessary. I’m not a writer and never will be, but an epilogue is supposed to add answers to the ending of a story, not retcon it and tear it apart. If the first three chapters were well written, the epilogue completely missed the mark And a small correction in my previous message: I meant to say that she said she had work to do, but in the end, she was just going to see Suzuki
Senpai-San75
Senpai-San75
In the year between her divorce and reuniting with Naoki, she spent good times with her rapist—she cooked for him, slept next to him cuddling, got bored watching TV with him, even dressed up in a yukata and went to a festival with him… basically, everything a normal couple would do. And all of this completely nullifies the ending of chapter 3, where she seems sad deleting Naoki’s contact. Then, in the final part of the epilogue, where she says she doesn’t have much work left to do, the truth is she probably just had a date with Suzuki to try new positions. Meanwhile, her husband, over that year, was probably thinking there was a chance for them to work things out, while she was supposedly ‘atoning’ by living her best life with one of her lovers. And even the money she gives at the end? It’s not even hers, lol. Like @juddeau said, it really feels like she just wanted to get rid of Naoki in this chapter.
Senpai-San75
Senpai-San75
As many have said, this chapter ruins the ending of chapter 3. We had an Akiko who knew what she had done, who probably regretted it, and who deprived herself of any potential happiness because she thought she no longer deserved it. That ending was completely fine. But in this chapter, everything is deconstructed to rehabilitate Suzuki, the rapist, by giving him a sad flashback, which in no way justifies what he did. Like, ‘I was hurt, so now I’m going to hurt others.’ And at no point in his reasoning does he truly think about Naoki… in the sense that he was once in Naoki’s place, yet he chose to become the abuser. To make it clearer, it’s like someone who was bullied turning into a bully themselves, even though they should be the most understanding of that pain. This epilogue also serves to give Akiko a ‘happy’ ending. But someone needs to explain to me where in this epilogue she shows remorse or atones for her actions?

@toticollector yeah i guess that's true, i just look at this chapter as a what if like his other works with alternate stories and just accept it as it is. I dont even know why i feel bitter since its been forever since i read the chapters.

Still I think that Mahiro's writing is quite a bit above the average in hentai. I would still read it without any explicit scenes and there aren't many like that.

@jawman well, this is still porn, so porn will happen often to the detriment of the story and/or character building so far. nevertheless, i can see an emotionally broken person acting like these two even though it wouldn't make sense to an external observer. but again, this is still porn so many things will not make as much sense. then again, real life often doesn't make sense.

Some facts about the way she is living her life in this one which makes no sense. She clearly has the mug that the husband broke in a fit of anger. In chapter 3 both of them agree that they could have talked it out. The reason she has nothing in her apartment is not just due to the alimony she pays but because she doesn't need anything else. She chose to live alone for a few months and for some odd fucking reason an email from Suzuki makes her crawling back to him like she was waiting for it? and when Suzuki started to caress and fuck her she started acting like a maiden who is being forced by a brute that defeated her. This is literally a plot of a japenese AV written specifically to bring back an old actor in the scene, it doesnt make sense, but with all the shit the author tried to make the story feel real, this chapter broke that little realism it had and just outright went to the cringe badly written AV route.
jawman
jawman
@toticollector I like the art the author does but this stories is somewhat shit. The wife is sexually frustrated but she is not fucking stupid she didn't feel any love for her cheating partners. The divorce was a self imposed punishment she put herself into so she could live alone and think about what she did in her life. She clearly still loves her husband which is why she was crying when she was trying to delete his contact info which to note she DIDNT delete, the screen just turned off because she was doing nothing but holding it. The husband clearly didn't want to divorce her but the separation was most likely her idea because she cant forgive herself. This story would have made more sense if it followed after the epilogue a year later and the husband still didn't give up on her. Everything happened in this story but instead of Suzuki its her ex-husband doing her and by the end we would see the broken mug with a dead flower but this time with a new healthy flower..

@lucien, good points all around. the author tries to write a story with a bit more depth than "shorry darling i can't live without his cock" and peeps can't even relate. around here some grass definitely should be touched.

I think this spin off is really good, very meaningful. Both of them have mistakes that come from impulsive thoughts, which many readers find difficult to accept and understand. However, after going through everything, and having nothing left to lose, they sit back and accept, share, admit their mistakes, and make amends with actions. That's what I like.

Juddeau

And everything that has to do with the rapist is bullshit. Two broken people dont complement each other, it only lends itself to a toxic relationship, but the author romanticizes it because on paper it sounds poetic. But you say its realism. This spin off feels dishonest and cheap, and the coherence that was created in the previous 3 chapters is thrown away here.
Juddeau
Juddeau
2- Good stories SHOW me both the good and the bad of things, not just what suits them so that their story fits, that's why we know absolutely nothing about the husband, that's why the author "reformed" a rapist by giving him a sad background, that's why, even though Akiko says that she still feels guilty about her divorce and that she has nothing to lose with the blackmail, 2 minutes later she acts like a textbook tsundere who seems to have LEARNED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. And the most ridiculous thing of all is that she wants her ex-husband to be free from her because she thinks she's not a good person and wants him to be happy, but in the end it feels more like she's the one who wants to get rid of everything that has to do with her husband because she feels tired of the situation.
Juddeau
Juddeau
@lucient Well, man, to start with, just because something has a realistic tone doesn't mean it shouldn't be correct and leave a lesson for both its characters and the reader. If not, what's the point of all this drama? I'm not in favor of the husband, the excuse of not having sex because he's sterile seems ridiculous to me and it's NOT REALISTIC. It's bad writing. Additionally, no one says that Akiko should have unconditional love. If the relationship should end, let it end, but all the characters should be treated fairly and not simply take one side because this is an NTR and that's why the husband should be portrayed as a passive and hopeless cuck because the story needs him to be.

I think Suzuki's behaviour is just also extremely baffling. For someone that's understood the pain of affairs and a story that prides itself on nuance and perspectives. You'd get an interaction between the two central male characters . To get a glimpse into to the mind of the husband through all of this, what he's been up to. Maybe he can confide in Suzuki who can offer up a perspective on it or express his grievances at contributing to the same kinda pain that left him broken for long. But we don't get that. Because at its core the narrative isn't trying to excel at nuance here. It's just trying to create convenient flows of Akiko's sake. Changing characterization and leeway for her troubles. Instead of actually doing something interesting for the genre. By the end the story is just another generic NTR. It just spends more time in a few characters' heads to come off more complicated than it actually is.
Ytt555789
Ytt555789
@lucient Dawg, even within your own language. You're going through hoops to explain or muddy the morals at play. Suzuki "commited a crime" and Akiko "felt guilty for her actions" but the husband is "a herbivore coward who has only one redeeming quality" The issue with the layout of the narrative is that by the end Akiko basically got a net positive here. Cheats on her hubby several times, divorces, 6 months later she's sleeping with her rapist(who oh so happens to actually be super nice and great at sex) and he pays off her alimony. Meanwhile good ol' hubby gets cucked, divorced and doesn't move on a year later. Yeah, there's nuance and good character writing, but narrative isn't cleanly progressing towards something believable. It warps reality to give Akiko and Suzuki the best ending possible for doing the worst. Instead of just leaving on the OG bittersweet note of them slowly picking their lives back up.

Of course women never pay for the consequences of their own actions. They have it too easy. The stuff about her family is never shown so may as well be not a thing, and now she's with another man just like that, too easy. Her ex-husband is alone and will remain alone for years. BTW this "Lucient" user trying to excuse her actions here is probably a woman, hey girl stop excusing this b*tch, fucking asshole.
jawman

This is an alternate event for the Epilogue of Chapter 3 and more or less none canon or maybe a spin-off. Why? At the end of Chapter 3 Epilogue she tried to delete the contact info of her Ex but that's not possible she's still hasn't paid the alimony completely based on the conversation on this chapter. Also looking at the scene where she was trying to delete the contact info she was using her right middle finger but it just hovers it, but then on the next scene she puts the phone near her face and tears up and now she is holding the phone with her right hand and her thumb appears to be pressing the phone but its not, that's how you hold the phone with one hand with the thumb over the screen. The phone is also clearly locked and turned off the screen due to inactivity. This author made what if or alternate events of his works that changes the story of what was already built good example is "Stay by me" there's a route the FMC in that story didn't me the kid.
lucient

I'm making my own deductions here so feel free to completely ignore. Flow of Suzuki's action : 1. Lost his wife in an accident as well as found out about her infidelity 2. Unstable mental state + found another cheating wife -> vigilante justice punishing cheating wife 3. Contacts her again months later to check whether she has repented or not 4. Finds out she not only got divorced, but also punishing herself harshly monetarily and mentally 5. Starts regretting what he did, apologetic towards Akiko, actually falls for her instead 6. Starts getting entangled more and more with Akiko. If Akiko wants him jailed, I still think he should be. But again Akiko saw him as divine punishment, then later, fellow bad people. Then later, a flawed human whom she can empathize and connect with, more than her own ex. If that isnt the writer's intention, then let that be my own headcanon till proven otherwise.
